In Matthew 1:20 and Luke 1:35 we see the Holy Spirit mentioned as being involved in the pregnancy of Mary who gave birth to Jesus. The Holy Spirit didn't show up in Acts 2 after Jesus. The Holy Spirit was the power of Jesus' conception! That sets my mind spinning. Think about what that could mean to you, that the Holy Spirit is the power of conception. He can birth something wonderful in your life!
Genesis 1:2 says at the beginning, at creation, the Holy Spirit was hovering, sweeping, fluttering, moving or brooding over the waters of the earth. The Holy Spirit, with it's life-giving energy, was brooding over the waters like a hen over her nest, sowing the seeds of creation, then brooding, contemplating, planning, devising.
Overshadowing Mary. Brooding over the waters. These and other scriptures tell me the Holy Spirit is not merely the power of the resurrection, able to bring dead things back to life. He is the source, the formative cause, holding the power of conception and life. He has power and wisdom we need at the onset of any endeavor or any time of our lives.
The Holy Spirit has dreamed great marriages for all of us. We just need to get into His plan from the beginning, not in the middle. Start today. You can do that even if you aren't presently dating anyone. That's actually the best time to do so.
And believe it or not, He has a great business idea for you and has conceived a great marketing plan. Yeah, He is interested in your business, your career and finances. I'm talking about God-ideas, God-plans through Godly wisdom.
Most people don't seek God until their own plans have failed. We've all done that at some point.
Don't wait until something is dead in your life to seek the power of the Holy Spirit. Seek the Holy Spirit in whatever season you are in right now. Single, dating, engaged, married or parenthood. School, internship, job seeking, business development or retirement. Wherever you are at this moment.
Think about it. The Holy Spirit has been brooding over you for some time now, sowing seeds of creation of something amazing in your life!
