most of us have to be doing something - every waking moment - aren't you sick of looking at the top of a person's head when you are - supposedly - spending time with them?
in the absence of real interaction we're ok to be entertained with our cell phone - facebook - tv - a video game - anything to keep us from thinking - from meditating
but thinking is how we learn - analyze - deduce - discover - how we set goals - and how we plan for reaching them
meditating is when we are still - just to listen to God - you know - after we tell Him everything we need - and want - it is waiting to hear His response - and He does respond - but most of us are already playing candy crush before we give Him a chance to speak
power down! - every day - find some time - turn off all electronics - put down the magazine - get alone - for the sake of your sanity - and the benefit of actually hearing God speak to you - power down!

Took on the challenge of powering down and turned my radio off and spent time with God on my way to and from work. When you actually listen He can be heard. Try it!
