People don't lose connection with God overnight. They get distracted by something that gets distorted in it's importance. They grow dispassionate as the vision begins to disappear, leading to disinterest - discontent - disappointment - disillusionment - discouragement. There will usually follow a disagreement with some portion of God's wisdom, then disregard for His Word resulting in disbelief and disobedience. During this time of being disheartened and disgruntled they are likely to develop a discomfort being around people who do have vision. They begin to disassociate from other Christians and disengage from the mission. And thus, they end up disconnected from God.
If any of the above looks familiar, it's not too late. The solution is simple. Reverse course. Backtrack from where you are. Work back through those steps that have led you away from being fully connected to God.
Re-engage the vision, associate with strong Christians, take heart, obey, believe, regard His Word highly, agree with His wisdom, encourage your own soul, regain interest, repossess His vision - with passion - turn your focus back to Him and refuse to be distracted again. And restore your relationship with God.
