if it was simple to live your passion then would it really be worth it? chasing your passions takes a lifetime of work
first check your passion priorities - it may be that you never have the potential of reaching passion #2 or #3 because they conflict with the more important passion #1 - want to be a brain surgeon or rock star? - a family man or merchant marine? - you'll probably have to pick one or the other
in that case, the opposition is from within - you are opposing yourself with conflicting passions - this often happens as we progress through life - many passions of my teen years were dropped for what I now see as better passions - higher passions
this internal opposition - this conflict of passions - if left unresolved will destroy everything you are passionate about - set your mind on chasing after passion #1 - period - it will be awesome when you are living your greatest passion
then think about passion #2 - and #3 - etc - if any of them are in conflict with #1 then you have two choices:
1) modify your secondary passion or
2) give it up! - we have to accept that all things cannot be a passion for us because some will conflict with our greatest passion!
but if #2 is in agreement with #1 then the opposition must be from outside - not internal conflict - opposition that arises from outside your life/marriage/family need not be a dead end - everyone faces external opposition - but most people are defeated by it by simply surrendering to it
why not see opposition as your opportunity to accomplish what no one else has - because you finished when they quit - sometimes that means achieving all your life's goals - and sometimes that means accepting which passions aren't worth destroying the rest of your life over
so choose your passions wisely - then chase them persistently - with all your heart!
