3. my personal relationship with God and with my spouse affects my children more than I realize - i purpose to make both relationships awesome!

i am my children's model - they learn more from me than anyone else - they learn more from my actions than from any other source - it is highly likely they will mimic my attitude toward God and my spouse

so i purpose to have a great relationship with God - with a 24/7 consistency - i purpose that my kids will hear me pray - i purpose that they will see me read God's Word - i purpose that they will witness my worship - regularly - i purpose that they will learn from me how to know God

my marriage will be like a seed planted in my children's hearts and minds - it will grow into what a great relationship is supposed to be like in their own lives - with the people they date - and eventually their own marriages - so i purpose to treat my spouse with respect - to build up my spouse in my kids eyes - to show appreciation to my spouse - to love my spouse in a sacrificial Christ-like way - so my kids will one day do the same to their own spouse - and expect it from their spouse too
