what it takes to pull off a great day - like yesterday - in case you think it takes a lot of people I just want to set the record straight - you’re right
like the events team who worked sat and sun to prepare lunch - the shock & awe team who worked many hours sat and showed up very early sun - the wow team who moved chairs outside - sat up chairs inside - then moved many of those same chairs outside because of the extra large crowd - then moved all of them back inside - and never complained - the worship team who arrived early to set up and prepare - and then led in worship even though everything wasn’t perfect with the sound
so the next time you enjoy an awesome worship service - or event - or even a small group - take time to say thanks - appreciate the effort - and thank God for them - i hope i just did
like the guy who loaned the flatbed - and paid for the fuel to deliver it - and return it - the guy who located a water heater for us last minute (even though too last minute for warm water!) - the friend of 29:11 who helped us find those two guys - and the neighbor who donated water straight from his faucet - from his water bill
like the guy who built the steps for the pool - the ladies who kept the nursery - and people who donated money and supplies
and clean up - lots of folks helped with clean up
all of them realizing they were doing more than just moving chairs - making lunch - changing diapers - they were serving God - and His children!
so the next time you enjoy an awesome worship service - or event - or even a small group - take time to say thanks - appreciate the effort - and thank God for them - i hope i just did
