the blood - follow through 1

wow - what grace Jesus has given me - lavished on me - rich - full

i was thinking about the story Jesus told of a prodigal son - he left home - wasted all his money - ended up alone - hungry - poor - and realized how bad he blew it

he decided to return home - but he was too messed up to return as a son - he would ask his dad for a job - that was the best he could hope for in his heart

but before he got home - before he was near his dad's house - his dad saw him - how could that be? unless his dad was watching - waiting - hoping for the return of his son

what was more moving was how the dad reacted - when the son began to repent and apologize for his stupidity he ignored him - the dad didn't care about the apology - he didn't care how sorry the son was - not because he was callous - he just didn't really care about a lot of grieving and mourning over lost money and a wasted life - today was a day of joy - his son had returned home

Jesus was painting us a picture of God our heavenly Father - i don't mean we shouldn't repent - if we mess up we need to tell Him we're sorry - but just understand - He isn't interested in that - He's more interested in celebrating that you're home - where you belong!
