next - also set aside a time for prayer - not just those drive-by prayers - you know where you think about something important and just throw a prayer at God - take this seriously - you can't leave it to chance - if you do it won't ever happen - the best time is right before or after you finish reading the Bible
some are scared of prayer - they think they don't know how to pray - but anyone who has ever been in an emergency finds out they already know how to pray - and the best part is it's a private thing anyway - God doesn't care what it sounds like - He just wants you to talk to Him
prayer is just communication - taking a few minutes to just talk to God - i know - some of you still want more direction on how to pray
Jesus gave His disciples a model for prayer - very simple:

- begin with worship (tell God how awesome He is – even though He already knows it, He wants to hear you say it)
- pray for God’s will to happen today everywhere in the earth (it’s what is best for you anyway)
- tell Him what you need and ask Him to provide it
- pray for strength over your struggles and temptations
- and finish with praise
simple - yet powerful - effective - and life-changing!
