what now?

Christmas is over - it's official because we took down our tree last night - you can't tell if Christmas was a week ago or a year ago at our house - except for a couple of lighted reindeer and some icicle lights that still need to be stowed away

so what now? what will we do now that Christmas is over? what did Christmas change about who we are? ...where we are going? ...how we live our lives?

please, please don't let the only change be that I am in more debt - or that I have more junk, I mean nice gifts to find a place to store - so much was spent on Christmas - it has to be more than that

the time - the effort - the cost - the sacrifices - I'm not talking about our time or our cost - God has spent a lot of time on you - put a lot of effort into you - Christmas cost heaven it's most awesome treasure - Jesus Christ - God's only Son - and sacrifice? Jesus didn't just sacrifice the last 12 hours of His life - His whole life was a sacrifice - leaving heaven - becoming part of a lower income family - exposing Himself to all the pains and troubles of being human - all the while knowing He would be rejected - forsaken - beaten - killed

Christmas cost God a lot - and my question now - how will you respond to His awesome gift?
