storms will happen in your life - and questions will result, questions that challenge the validity of your relationship with God, your very faith - for a pastor, especially a plant pastor, it is no different - the storms probably arrive more often and are potentially more intense
one good example is the storm that happened one night in the life of the disciples - a very real storm - i wonder if they had the same questions I have when I read the story in mark 6:45-5
for example, what happened to the crowds? a few verses earlier, they were surrounded by 5,000 families - but they were nowhere around now - what happened? you need to realize that everyone in the crowd can’t go with you, they won’t be with you in your storms - some drop off, fall away and sometimes, God doesn’t even waste time asking them to be involved - He just sends them away
but he didn’t send you away! he believes in you! you have something that He can use, that He wants to use! we may all have questions about others but if you’re in the storm hanging onto your faith, it lets you know God doesn’t have questions about you!
