it's tuesday of passion week - in three days Jesus will die on the cross - no doubt He has many things He'd like to do - many people that could use His healing touch - many friends to reassure - He has a lot on His mind
He doesn't have time for the self-righteous religious leaders today - but they come anyway - and with questions - but not of genuine curiosity - they are testing Him - that is what He doesn't have time for - but He takes the time anyway
patience - they say it's a virtue - one the Savior definitely had - but it still makes me wonder why - why give these guys the time of day? - why entertain their questions and comments for even a moment?
then i think perhaps - perhaps when Jesus gave His answers He wasn't answering those asking the questions - perhaps He knew others standing around listening had the same questions - doubts - fears - and struggles - perhaps He was answering them!
and He told them a parable - a parable about forgiveness - then another one - and another - and still another - with His days numbered - as short as they were - Jesus still took time to make sure those with real questions got their answers!
anyone around you have questions? - fears? - struggles? - this weekend would be a great time to bring them to hear a parable crafted especially for them - a parable of love - forgiveness - and new life!
it's already tuesday - Easter is only 5 days away!
